On our exchange 2010 server I see high memory usage on the remote registry service.
Our configuration is a DAG with 4 databases two running on each side. We use one Hub/Witness/CAS where clients connect to.
We use SCOM to monitor the exchange environment. We also have a exchange 2007 in that environment and two Edge servers.
Anybody any idea what is the purpose of the remote registry service in Exchange and why it eats this memory?
We had FQDN certificate installed & it got expired last week.
Now we installed wild card certificate on the same CAS server but the users with outlook 2007 had broken connection with Outlook Anywhere.
1. But if do a global change \ update of the certificate in exchange now with following command what will be the impact
2. if we need to change it in client side what could be the steps we need to take
3. If we update with new *.doamin.com cert manually its reverting back to fqdn.domain.com

Im currently importing around 140 users PST file, which are 110MB in total. My first 5 or 6 users have imported very quickly but now im getting Queued. If i wait for around ten minuites, the next user will start to copy messages and then complete. I cannot afford to wait this long as i have a further 1000 accounts to migrate.
I have found that if i restart the Micrsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication service, then the next user will start immediately. The next user will then remain queued. If i then restart the service again, this forces the next user to start the import process.
Here is the script im using to import the users from a csv file

After actioning all the required prerequisites I encountered the below issue,
[ERROR] Setup previously failed while performing the action "Uninstall". You can't resume setup by performing the action "BuildToBuildUpgrade"
There are a number of websites stating different reasons on why this can happen but I’m yet to find a direct response or help from any Microsoft KB.
If anyone can please provide me with a resolution or a path going forward that would me great.

We've recently migrated a client from Google Apps to Exchange on SBS 2011. The method we used for each user was to sync their Google Apps profile to an Outlook 2010 instance, export them as PST files (mail, contacts, calendars, everything), create new profiles and connect them to Exchange, and finally import the PST.
We have since been getting NDRs when some users reply to external addresses (occasionally to internal ones as well, but nearly all external). Most users are using OWA, but some are using Outlook 2010. I'm not sure if the problem happens on OWA as well, but it might. The NDRs say:

The "G" after "IMCEAEX" isn't always a "G." It varies.
There's a nearly identical error related to the LegacyExchangeDN value not being correctly set, but we've determined this is not our issue partially thanks to finding a recent post with our exact same issue (my account isn't verified so I can't post the link).
One of our users today also got this error when trying to add a contact (unsure of the method she was trying to add the contact with):
"Cannot perform the requested operation. The command selected is not valid for this recipient. Information was given to the Microsoft Exchange Address Book which requires a newer version of the Address Book. Upgrade Microsoft Exchange."
The post mentioned above never resolved the issue, but we're hoping someone has some ideas. Apparently migrating via PST from Google Apps like we did corrupts the contacts list, but that's as much as we can figure out. There's not much online about migrating from Google Apps (though plenty about migrating to Google Apps!).
I have a feeling that the issue could be solved by clearing a cache somewhere and rebuilding, but I'm not sure what cache to clear, where, how, etc. This is our first SBS 2011 install, and quite a few things are different with Exchange than we're used to.

My order for upgrading servers is correct order ?
Should I upgrade server to Exchange 2010 SP2 then immediately install Rollup 4-v2
or upgrade all the servers to Exchange 2010 SP2 then install all the servers to Rollup 4-v2 ?

In our environment, we have 4 Hub Transport servers and each Mail.que file is sitting at 25GB (yes Gigabytes). I know this is related to the 'Maximum size per mailbox database' Transport Dumpster setting (ours is 40Mb - High I know but MS best practices states it needs to be 1.5 x max message size) but is there anyone here who knows what this setting is multiplied by in order to get to the 25GB figure?
Where is the data from MS which helps us determine the minimum size for Mail.que ???

Pls Help！ what can I do.
I am trying to install Exchange 2007. I believe that I have followed all of the prerequisites and other items that are necessary to install it. However, I keep getting the error below. I am sure that I am doing something wrong so I would greatly appreciate it if someone would let me know if they have run into this error and what they did to fix it. I have gone through all of the TechNet articles and other items that are available online here.

I have researched this problem and none of the solutions I have found seem to apply.
In the process of transitioning from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. I performed all steps required for the transition, installed and configured Exchange 2007 Server with a seperate Exchange 2007 with CAS installed, all running on Windows Server 2008. I can login to new accounts and accounts that have been moved to the new Exchange Server. I can connect to the email account using Outlook 2003. The problem is when I try to connect to OWA I get the error "You do not have permission to open this mailbox." I get this on each account, new or moved, on the 2007 Exchange Server when trying to log in as the user. I am even having this problem if I try and login to Exchange through OWA from the CAS server. I have uninstalled IIS and CAS and reinstalled and continue to receive the error.
I orignally had installed and setup a single Exchange 2007 server with CAS, on the network, which functioned properly but uninstalled CAS and installed it on a seperate server. After moving CAS to a seperate server is when the error started when using OWA. When trying to log in I go to https://internal-ip-of-CAS/owa.
On the 2007 Exchange Server I get Security Event ID 4625. On the CAS server I get Security Event ID 5159 and 4776. I do not get any Event errors on the original 2003 Exchange Server. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Actually, I don't understand why Exchange changed e-mail smtp address to this strange form.
During prereq for the sp3 upgrade i keep getting this on my Exchange box
Setup cannot continue with the upgrade because the 'OleConverter' process 9Id:12624 has open files. Close the process and restart setup.
I don't see this process in Task manager and wasn't sure what I should do to get around it. It is the same error in all prereq Hub/CAS/Mailbox on my server.
I have already run the Schema changes for this sp
I checked the OLEconverter folder under Exchange server/v14/working and it is empty
We have a Leadership user whose emails to external world needs to be appended with common signature\ disclaimer. Hence we need to route only his emails to single HUB\CAS Server.
How do we enable a dedicated send connector for this purpose.
After enabling this connector all his internal & external emails should go only VIA this single connector

I am migrating from an Exchange 2003 system to Exchange 2010 SP1. I ran the AddReplicaToPFRecursive.ps1 script to setup replication of all folders, but I have not yet run the MoveAllReplicas.ps1 script because I cannot verify that the replicas are working properly.
Using the PFMC, I can see the replicas, but when I check the status using the properties page, all the fields display "Not available on this server". The Replication tab shows both servers in the list, and the Permissions tab has the correct permissions. Is this because the replica has not been "moved" yet?
The real problem arises with Mail Enabled Public Folders. When I check their properties and go the the Exchange tabs, I get the various errors. Sometimes I get "this is not a mail enabled folder", other times, I can get the the tabs, but a get long-winded error message about properties having invalid data. If I click on OK to accept defaults, then I get another long error about the property expressions "folder name" not being valid. This latter only seems to appear to be for folders with spaces in them.
On the folders having problems, I cannot send them email directly to the server. I must route email through the 2003 server still. Direct email to the server results in the user getting an error message:
