I've run through the steps at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn874017(v=exchg.150).aspx to migrate my public folders over to office365 in my exchange 2010 (1 server) hybrid environment.
The last step at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn874017(v=exchg.150).aspx#Anchor_4 talks about removing public folders following the steps at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd876883(EXCHG.140).aspx
Checking my public folders onprem I get No existing PublicFolder matches the following Identity: "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE" which I would expect as they should all be in Office365.
When I go to remove the Public Folder Database onprem, I get the dire looking warning "You are attempting to remove the last public folder database in the organization. If you remove this database, all of it's contents will be lost and only users running Outlook 2007 or later will be able to connect to your Exchange organization. Are you sure that you want to delete the last public folder database?"
I don't have any office 2007 machines so I should be good to go but running a get-publicfolderstatistics -server myserver returns the public folders.
I am assuming this is normal as it's showing the original public folders as they haven't been "moved" but just copied and then pointers switched to point to office365.
Is this normal behaviour? It is ok to go through deleting the public folders on prem and then deleting the public folder database?
