I am trying to migrate Exchange 2007 to another Exchange 2007 (virtualized) server.
I am up to removing the mailbox role, however the MoveAllReplicas.ps1 script still leaves about 10 (empty!) system folders behind on the old server, and this will not let me remove the PF database on the old server. These are 3 instances of schema-root,
3 instances of microsoft, some store-events etc. I have waited over a week for this - our PF hierarchy is not large.
They all have a replica pointing to the new server in the replication list (if I check via the GUI in the PF mgmt console). I note if I remove this replica, then run GetPublicFolderStatistics - server NEWSERVER, these system PF's are NOT listed.
My questions are:
1\ Should schema-root, microsoft, StoreEvents have a replica pointing to the new server?
2\ How do I successfully move these system PF's so I can remove the Public Folder database and then the mailbox role on the old server?
