Exporting mailbox details to CSV then re-importing as contacts on remote server

Hi Guys and girls,

Been doing some googling on the above in title and have found some helpful posts however i am slightly unsure which solutions i have read will work, most involve powershell commands however some have said when importing you need the csv file to have certain information from mailboxes in correct order for it to successfully import.

Anyway, got two companies who work very close together, company A and Company B. A user from Company A would like to mail a distribution group in Company B (by its mail address) which holds all of Company B's employees mail addresses. Due to security this isn't possible (without making the dg unsecure to external sources)

So next plan was to create a distribution group within Company A which holds mail contacts for all of Company B's employees, then add all these to that distribution group. This has already been Ok'd by compnay B incase anyone was wondering :D.

If i right click the mailbox section within exchange management console, and click export list, export to csv. can i then import this csv using a powershell command on company A's network?

This is on Exhcnage 2010.

All help appreciated, thanks for reading.

Anthony
