I am currently working on a migration for work in which we have two trusting domains of different root domains. My goal is to bring everyone over from domain B into Domain A. At this point all users in Domain B have linked mailboxes in Domain A that they use their Domain B credentials for and the domain A matching account is actually disabled. Once I bring the domain b people over they get access to the mail boxes with their domain A credentials. My question is about users that shared their mailbox with other users in Domain B or even groups from Domain B. When they get moved over the groups seem to loose access to the mailbox. I have used ADMT security to perform local group security translation on files servers. Would running admt against the target exchange server work after I bring the groups associated with the mailbox over from domain b and run the local security translation again? We ae using 2008 r2 servers with exchange 2010 and ADMT version 3.2
Thank you
