Migration from 2007 to 2013 - two troublesome mailboxes

Hi guys,

Have a single legacy Exchange 2007 server with 800 users, and 4 new Exchange 2013 servers with a single DAG.

I've moved 798 users from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013 without a problem. (Increased bad item count a few times, but otherwise all good).

The last two mailboxes are coming up with the following error:

Error:MigrationTransientException: Failed to communicate with the mailbox database. --> Failed to communicate with the mailbox database. --> MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to make connection to the server. ‎(hr=0x80040115, ec=-2147221227)

The issue doesn't seem to be source DB specific. In fact I've just moved two more users from the same 2007 DB to the new 2013 infrastructure fine, as well as few hundred earlier on.

The 2007 server has a single NIC, all Exchange services are running and as I mentioned, I'm concurrently able to migrate other mailboxes too. So personally I don't think this is server or DB specific - it's these two mailboxes alone that have a problem. I also tried moving them to a 2010 environment that is no longer used but the same error occurs.

Anyone help me here? A high bad item count doesn't seem to resolve it, and the mailboxes are working for the two end users fine.

Thanks - Steve
