LegacyExchangeDN value not updated when moving mailboxes from 2003 -> 2010 compared to new 2010 mailboxes

Under 2010 if you create a mailbox it is given the new Exchange 2010 legacy DN value such as:

/o=E2KORG1/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=USERNAME

If you move a user from 2003 to 2010 it retains the original value such as:

/o=E2KORG1/ou=FIRST ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP/cn=RECIPIENTS/cn=USERNAME

The problem is that we have an archive product that tries to bind to the users using their LegacyExchangeDN value which is now incorrect.  Because the user is no longer located under 2003 it fails!  Is there a way to get Exchange 2010 to update the DN value when a mailbox is moved?  I know this will cause cached entries to fail when users reply to them under Outlook, but we plan to clear the Outlook caches when we move all users across.

If it is not possible to automate this, is there a preferred method for modyfiying everyone's legacyexchangedn to reflect their new location within 2010?

Thanks
