We are going to migrate user accounts and mailboxes from Exchange 2003 forest to Exchange 2010 forest. We don't want the non-migrated users (users whose mailbox is still on Exhcange 2003) to use Autodiscover as this will cause them not able to connect to their mailbox. How do we handle autodiscover services in this cross-forest migration scnario?
I was thinking about two methods:
1. Do not confiugre the URL for autodiscover until after migrated all of the users to Exchange 2010. But I have concerns that this will cause some of the Exchange 2010 features not working properly for the migrated users
2. Disable autodiscover service for the non-migrated users in the Exchange 2003. But I'm not sure exactly how to achive this.
