CCR mailbox failover to DR node sending email from Replication Link ?

Folks,

I'm getting confused myself here, hopefully someone can clarify me with how CCR works.

can anyone please let me know what and how is Exchange Server 2007 SP3 CCR mailbox role send out email from the Production node and from the DR node ?

here's my current Mailbox server configuration:

MailCluster.domain.com (Cluster name for Outlook MAPI connectivity)
IP1: 192.168.1.115 --> During Production node active
IP2: 192.168.12.3 --> During DR node active

PRODMBX1.domain.com (Production node)
NIC 1: 192.168.1.17
NIC 2: 10.1.1.2, 10.1.1.3 --> for CCR replication to DR node
MS Failover Cluster Virtual Adapter IP: 169.254.1.61

DRMBX1.domain.com (DR node)
NIC 1: 192.168.12.29
NIC 2: 10.1.9.2, 10.1.9.3 --> for CCR replication to Production node
MS Failover Cluster Virtual Adapter IP: 169.254.2.14

At the moment the email running from production node, when received in the external email provider (eg.GMail or Yahoo or Hotmail), the Original message header should show the MailCluster.domain.com (192.168.1.115), but how come, it is now showing theMailCluster.domain.com (169.254.1.61) ? the cluster virtual network adaptor instead of 1.115 ?

and when I fail it over to DR mailbox server, the original message header shows from
MailCluster.domain.com (10.1.9.2) ? the CCR network instead of the 12.3 ?

At the moment, the Replication link in the Failover cluster administration console is shown as offline. I guess it is because its not active yet.
