Mail Migration from Entourage mac to Outlook windows

Hi,

I am stuck in a situation of migrating the emails and its sub mail folders from Entourage 2008 mail client runnung in mac over to Outlook 2010 installed in my windows system.

I have thousands of important mails stored in several folders in entourage 2008.

So how can I make the migration from Entourage to Outlook possible.

The solution will be really appreciated if its simple and direct, coz I have a loose hand in performing way-round step-wise technical stuff.

Thank you

Error when moving Exchange Public Folder Tree Hierarchy

Hello,

I am during the transition from Exchange 2003 to 2007.
At the end of migrating Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 I have moved all the mailboxes, Public and System Folders have been replicated and moved, Mailbox Store and Public Store had been removed, Routing Connectors removed ...
I then created new Public Folder Container in Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) and I attempted to drag and drop the Public Folder Tree Hierarchy from old Administrative Group to Exchange Administrative Group using ESM 2003.

During this I got the following error:
Access Denied.
Facility: LDAP Provider
ID no: 8007005
Exchange System Manager

Every public and system folders works fine (replicated to Exchange 2007), but the Public Folder Hierarchy is still on Exchange 2003.

Anyone has any idea how to continue decommission of Exchange 2003?

Regards,
Jacek

After E2010 SP3 UR5, Address Book service keeps restarting, Outlook clients won't connect

Prior to the upgrade, these were the versions we were using:

FL2000-EXCAS001 [ClientAccess] [Enterprise] 8.0.535.0

FL2000-EXCAS002 [ClientAccess] [Enterprise] 8.0.535.0

FL2000-EXHUB001 [HubTransport] [Enterprise] 8.0.535.0
- 20120913:  Update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 (KB2706690) 14.2.318.2

FL2000-EXHUB002 [HubTransport] [Enterprise] 8.0.535.0
- 20120913:  Update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 (KB2706690) 14.2.318.2

FL2000-EXMBX001 [Mailbox] [Enterprise] 8.0.535.0
- 20120913:  Update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 (KB2706690) 14.2.318.2

The reason the CAS servers were using an earlier build version was because during the upgrade we had to open a MS case and they couldn't figure out why a service kept restarting. They only gave the reason that it had to be 3rd party software which we weren't able to isolate. So they told us it was okay to kep the CAS at the earlier versions. Servers seemed to be stable the past couple of years.

Tonight we upgraded from the above versions to SP3, and then SP3 UR5. It seems the same issue is occurring. ActiveSync & WebApp clients seem to work normally, but Outlook has problems connecting. The CAS application logs have regular instances of the following errors:

How to set up fax solution using Windows 2008 R2 Fax server role and Exchange 2007

$

Hello,

I don't know if this is the right forum to post this but since it is related to Exchange I thought it might be. If this is not the right place, please direct me to the forum where my post would be more appropriate.

I'm looking to set up a Fax solution for the company that I work for as we are moving away from analog phone lines to VoIP using SIP. My original thought was to set up a Windows 2008 R2 server with Fax server role installed and have it route the fax message to Exchange 2007 SP3 so the fax message can be delivered to each user's inbox. I was reading a little bit on the Windows Fax server role and from what I saw it looks like it can only route fax messages to one email address. This not ideal for my company. Is there a way to have the fax server role route the email to each user's inbox? If so, how can I achieve this?

How can implement this for this sending outgoing faxes as well?

I don't know if this releveant or not but I will be using Asterisk as a media gateway between our SIP trunks and the Windows Fax server.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

I am sorry if someone has already asked this question before but we will be transition/migrating from exchange 2003 to 2010 - we also want to include DAG option in our setup.

So we have one exchange 2003 server and will be building another exchange 2010. Is there any document  or video or any sort of guide i should follow to complete this task.

Thanks

Exchange 2003 to 2010 migration

$

Hi,

I am in the process of upgrading from Exchange 2003 to 2010 and may have hit a snag that I haven't found an answer for.

I have been following the steps outlined in this article http://www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0000234.htm and have made it to step 5, the "Do Nothing" stage. So far I haven't had any real issues and everything seems to be working correctly.

After I had done nothing for a few days and thinking that everything should now be on the new server I decided to shutdown the old server for a few days to verify that nothing was overlooked (to see if anything breaks). I didn't expect anyone to notice. After about half a day I had a few users with an error in outlook (2003) "Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. An object could not be found.'".

Would this be expected as I have not officially removed the old server? All of my users are correctly pointing to the new server.

Now I'm worried that I have an issue and shouldn't progress to Step 6 - Decommission and remove Exchange 2003.

Also, just in case it is related, I had a look at the next step and all of my public folders are listing as In Sync but my Schedule+ Free Busy is listing Local Modified on the new ex2010 server. I haven't found a thread that satisfactorily explains what to do to correct this (if it is actually an issue)

Any guidance is gratefully received

Ian

Exchange 2010 SP3 Rollup 5 "Queued" MoveRequest

I cannot run the New-MoveRequest to move mailboxes from a database to another database. It always gets stuck in the "Queued" state. I have attempted to restart the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication service on both of my CAS but it still remains stuck.

Anyone know how I can get this to start? I see nothing in the event viewer that gives me a hint to what the problem is.

Exchange 2010 install error 1603

Environment: Windows Server 2K8, Exchange 2K10

This is the first exchange server I'm trying to install. I get to copying files in the installer and it dies with exchangeserversetup.msi error code 1603.

I look in the install logs and it says Error in rollback skipped, no system restore sequence number for this installation

I've check the CRL in internet options and that's turned off.

Any ideas?

Behaviour of Microsoft Transporter Suite (Notes migration to Exchange 2007)

Dear Sir,

I have a question about configuraiton of Microsoft transporter, not sure whether it is a behaviour or it can be fixed.

Question 1:

Lotus Notes 7.04 --> Exchange 2007

Microsft Transport: Scheduler set to every 15 min.

Q1. Does it mean that Notes sync to AD User account setting only in every 15 min only ?

Q2. It seems that it will not sync Notes email mailbox message with Exchange mailbox until manual press
'Migrate selected mailbox', may I confirm that is it a design behaviour.

Q3. After created free/busy connector (Every 60 minutes of sync), it seems that it will not sync
user calendar until manual pressed 'Synchronize Now'.

Q4. Can Mirocosft transport suit support workstation NSF file to PST file ?

Q5. In notes environment, ACL will be used to configure boss/secretary condition which allow send as permission.
Does it mean that all permission will be reconfigured manually? Or any Microsoft tools to work on it.

Regards,

Joe

Mailbox Size Exceeds Target Quota 2.3GB

Hey guys,

I am moving the final mailboxes from my SBS2003 over to my Exchange 2010 box.  I saved the large mailboxes and the BES users for last.  My question is about the large mailboxes.  I tried moving one of the larger mailboxes and it says, "Mailbox size 3.9GB exceeds target quota 2.3GB".

Any idea's on how I can remove the quota?  I have read that I can't do anything in the EMC but I can add -IgnoreRuleLimitErrors to the Move cmdlet in the Shell.  I have tried that but I keep getting error's so I am assuming I am not typing it out the correct way.  When I try to do Set-MoveRequest -Identity "Username" -IgnoreRuleLimitErrors $true, I get an error that there is no move request.  When I try to type the line into the MoveRequest line, it just doesn't like my parameters.

Any suggestions for getting past this?

business essentials cant change password

Upgraded to Business Essentials 2012 from SBS 2011.  In SBS 2011, you can change a user password on the server at any point.  With Business Essentials 2012, if the user is connected to an Office 365 account, the server will not reset the password.  When I registered my computer (<a href="http:///connect">http://<servername>/connect, I was forced to change my password on the local box.  I wasn't worried about what I put in because I know it can be changed on the server.   But this is not the case.

How can I change the password on the server to match the password that is on the Office 365 account?   I don't know what the password is on the server.  I do know what it is on the Office 365 account and I know they don't match.

Need some help.  Thanks
